Firefly | Sports Recovery device for DOMS

Members of team firefly™ shine at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Commonwealth Games came to an end on Sunday evening with Kylie taking centre stage! Athletes and teams from the Home Nations performed out of their skin to produce excellent results in Glasgow and for the first time in 28 years England finished at the top of the medal table.

In amongst the excellent performances were a host of team firefly™ ambassadors. The competition kicked off to a great start when English triathlete and team firefly™ member Vicky Holland won the bronze medal in the individual race. Only two days later Vicky added gold to her collection by winning the mixed relay with fellow triathletes Jodie Stimpson and Jonathan and Alistair Brownlee (pictured below).

Eimear Mullan (Northern Ireland) and Holly Lawrence (Wales) completed great relay legs for their teams in the triathlon relays also, finishing in 6th and 8th respectively.

Michaela Breeze, joined the firefly™ ambassador team earlier this year, when she decided to come out of retirement to challenge for the medals in the women’s 58kg weightlifting category at Glasgow 2014. What a competition it turned out to be! We are delighted Michaela won the bronze medal - especially as she was so entertaining to watch!

There was also success for athletes and teams who use firefly™ as part of their recovery strategies. Adam Gemili won two silver medals on the track for team England; Swim Wales won 7 medals in the pool and Scotland’s Judo team won 13 medals in total. We hope the firefly™ helped during their competitions at the Games.

Congratulations to all the athletes mentioned on their amazing achievements at the Commonwealth Games 2014.
